1. The postponement of tasks for a later time leads to serious problems in life. Accumulated tasks are not solved tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, or even later, because new daily tasks join them. As a result of the habit of procrastination, you can get bogged down in problems and find yourself in a deadlock situation.

2. Procrastination entails a decrease in self-esteem – this is proven by scientists. The lack of regular results in our lives affects self-esteem. A person who is used to postponing runs the risk of losing faith in themselves and their own strength.

3. Another consequence – procrastination plunges a person into a chronic sense of guilt. Guilt, in turn, deprives a person of inspiration, a belief in success and does not allow them to be as productive as possible.

4. Because of procrastination, concentration is significantly reduced. A person who has postponed many tasks for later is forced to constantly think about them until they are fulfilled. And this prevents you from concentrating on the business that you are doing at the moment.

5. The habit of procrastination negatively affects social relationships. The procrastinator is no longer taken seriously and is considered irresponsible. Because of this, people distance themselves and the procrastinators become isolated and live with a sense of resentment and injustice.

Thus, to date, the link between procrastination and chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, vascular dystonia (VVD) and metabolic disorders has been established. The fact is that, by planning a task, our brain’sinstincts react to it, and the brain releases the necessary energy charge for its realization. If the action was not carried out, this energy has a destructive effect on our health.

7. The habit of postponing leads to the fact that a person will live for a long time under the influence of a psychotraumatic situation. Simply put, they experience chronic stress. This leads to a number of psychosomatic diseases, chronic depression and problems with concentration.

8. As a result of prolonged postponement, a person loses their vital signs, their priorities are shifted, and that leads to a feeling of psychological discomfort.

9. The obvious consequence is that the procrastinator deprives themselves of the opportunity to achieve their intended goals. Because of the constant postponement of daily tasks, goal achievement becomes practically impossible, leading to the destruction of well thought out strategies.

10. And the most dangerous – procrastination causes the strongest addiction. Not without reason, in many developed countries, psychoanalysts and psychotherapists are seriously engaged in this problem. It is difficult to get rid of this addiction, and in the later stages, it is almost impossible to do it yourself.
